1947 Cub I think

Ran across this little guy at a job today. The owner said it has been in the shed since they bought the place 25 years ago. The tag is stamped 5304 J.
The only year I see with a number that low is 1947 when I did a VIN search.
It has been used and abused, but looks to be pretty complete.
I'm going to see if I can work out a deal when I finish this project.

What you have is a cub low boy, 1956 or 57.

Yep, a low boy version of a cub. Maybe not rare, but not plentiful. I have a 1967 model with the square grill. Pretty good for mowing but lacking in power if the grass is high. That flail mower setup looks interesting. Looks like the sheet metal and grill are in good shape. Buy it.
