How To Identify CUB Demonstrator

I've stumbled across a tractor that is showing what appears to be white paint on most of sheet metal and protected spots, serial number says it is a 1952, "153075 F-Cub"

HOW do I determine if it is actually a demonstrator, and if it is, what is it actually worth? Thanks!! Bryce

(quoted from post at 06:53:41 12/15/18) Could be someone repainted it as a demo at one time.
as a old friend told me there's more demo cubs still running than ever was made

Demonstrators were pulled at random during the 1950, year. AFIK,there were no separate sN numbers kept/recorded. Tear it apart, look for original white paint in the hidden places. That's about the only way to be sure. There are a lot of fakes and counterfits out there.

Demonstrator serial numbers were 99536 - 106511, approximately. Not all of them were painted white. They are early 1950 serial numbers. The lower radiator housing could have been changed. The best way figure it out is to look at casting codes. 1949 code was S and 1950 was T. Early 1950 models may have parts cast from late 1949 on them. If most of your codes are S or T then it is a good change that the lower radiator housing was swapped out at one time. If most of your codes are X then it is a 1952 like the tag indicates.

Interesting, good to know, thank you!

I wasn't sure if it was early 1950 year, or early 1950's, like 50-51-52.

I'm suspecting this one isn't a true demonstrator then, but I'll have the guy check into some casting numbers for me. It is about 5 hours away other wise I would do it! Thanks!!
