6 volt Disconnect switches

Looking for ideas on how to install a battery disconnect switch on a '50 Cub. Anyone done this and what type of switch did you use? There's no room for one in the battery box.

Just unhook the ground where it bolts to the frame. Why spend money on a sw that has terminals that can fail when all you need to do is unbolt the ground.

Disconnect switches don't care about voltage. A 12V one will work just as well.

The battery cable runs under the platform. Mount it under the platform, and you've added a small measure of security in addition to whatever other reason you have for installing the disconnect.

I have one with key on my 450. It is just over the top of light in photo.

Absolutely NOT! Done it for over 20 years on one tractor and 10 years on the other. Do it to all my Cub
Cadet garden tractors too. It's Part of the reason I get about double the normal battery life without
messing with trickle chargers. Plus I know there's Absolutely no way I will have an electrical fire and
burn up my shop and everything I have in it.
