IH 1486 Heater

Having trouble getting heat in the cab. Foam good up top, clean, can run water through cab lines, have tried cardboard in front of radiator. Anything else I can try?

What is your engine temp running? Are both heater hose valves on? Take your roof cover off and feel the heater core,and see if it is getting warm/hot.Mark.

My 886 gets good and warm. I have had those valves at the engine get bad and not work right. You think it is opening but not isn?t. If they both aren?t wide open you get a lot of nothing. On mine I only shut off the valve at the back of the engine in the summer because the one at the water pump is like that. It?s hard to get to turn open for some reason.

After running for a while are the cab hoses good and warm?
