Let me guess, 560? If so that pump has a light load advance that's best set on the test stand. Can also be done with tractor on a PTO dyno IF done carefully. Pump has full advance at lo and high idle no load, full load it should be fully retarded. When at 1/2 load should be 1/2 advance. It's touchy, and why it's best set on the test bench. Just repaired a 560 pump last month for the same trouble.

I repeat, light load advance pumps are best adjusted on the injection pump test stand. There's also a chance the advance piston is worn severely too, as the early pumps used an aluminum piston instead of steel.

ok what if the piston is set up I will check it today with the pump turned all the way advanced it runs good it just idals noisy what makes the piston move pressure thanks tom

Tom Dieseltech is telling you like it is , so unless you have a timing window and a dyno you can play the game of twisting the pump back and forth till the cows come home and never get it . it is time to run up the white flag and take the pump off and have it set on a pump stand . there are somethings that at times you have to relie on the trained professional that has the equipment .
