bought engine kit from here..has a film on sleeves,do yall clean the sleeves before installing..........thanks dewy

i kind of remember soap and water last time i did this...its been awhile...memorys not so good sometimes............dewy

No experience with YT kits but soap and water may not cut the coating it may require solvent. A can of spray brake clean would do it. A final wash with hot/warm soapy water is probably a best practice to make sure all the honing grit has been removed. Be ready with WD 40 or the like to spray them down right away because surface rust will come on quickly as they dry.
