Farmall A Brake Drum Removal

Ok please don't laugh. How do you get the brake drum off a Farmall A? I have the set bolt out and have tried "bumping" the shaft but it won't move. Do I need to remove the woodruff? If so how? The shaft is loose and the bearings are moving out when I bump it but the drum it stopping the removal of the shaft. :?

Sometimes those drums are a bear to remove them from the shaft. I have had to use the torch to get them loose after using all kinds of snake oil

Gene is right; these drums are a heavy press fit and some rust makes it worse. Count yourself lucky that you got the set screw out. No need to remove the woodruff key (wouldn't know how to do it, anyway).
I jury rigged a puller using some 3/8 inch all thread, modified nuts at the drum end and a cross bar across the end of the differential shaft. Tighten the nuts on the all thread at the cross bar end. Take a 5 pound hammer and hit the cross bar such that the blow goes straight to the differential shaft. Tighten the nuts again and apply another few whacks. Repeat until the drum comes loose.
