C-113 Governor question

I?m rebuilding the governor from my ?49 C. It is missing the bumper pin that resides in a recess in the end of the governor assembly. The actuator spring is there but not the pin. I would like to make one but need to know the proper length. Does anyone have one apart that you could measure? I assume this is the same governor for all of the C-113 engines. Thanks in advance.

You can get a new one from Case/IH, not too expensive. Get the spring too. There is a pin in the housing that that pin rides on, rteplace it too. Also replace the bumper spring in the bottom, the one that rides in the acorn nut. Usually the thrust bearing needs to be replaced too. These parts are too sensative to to be home made in my opinion.

Thanks Dave, I've done a number of these and always replace the springs, needle bearings and rockshaft bushing as well as the shaft itself. I am fortunate to have a full machine shop at my work and some pals that will make me what I need. I will check with my IH store as you suggested. But...that pin is just a cylinder and my frugal nature makes me want to fabricate it :) Here's another one: this one had a thick washer between the flyweight fingers and the spacer. Definitely not original. Any idea what the purpose may have been??
