Still working on my 660 starter. From which end of the starter do we view the rotation. Shop says the 660 calls for a CCW starter and that is the direction that it turns viewed from the field end and that one turns the engine the wrong way. What has to be changed, the armature for sure, anything else and a part number would be great. Thanks Darald

You can look up parts on partstore.caseih.com.
I just checked and it shows the same part number for the starter for a Farmall 560 diesel as a 660 diesel. Also shows the same part number for the Farmall 560 gas as a 660 gas.
It may be cheaper and easier to just get a remanufactured starter for a 560 and trade this one in as a core. You'll pretty much have to gut your starter and the only thing you'll be able to reuse is the case.
