quick question on Farmall SMTA

Did these tractors (SMTA) have a 2 point hitch on them originally? Thanks. Pembroke

Two point hitch type IH released in 1956 can be mounted to look like it belongs. First type two point that started being used on the 400 farmalls used a different transmission top cover for mounting part of the hitch parts. That hitch can still be mounted on a SMTA but will have some modifications to mount. Also if the complete hitch is mounted two hydraulic circuits are needed to operate both parts of the hitch.

They had 3pt hitch in Europe. Either the licensing was cheaper, or the patent had run out.
