distributor

Doesn't look like the parts books go into the distributor itself. They only show it as a complete unit.

Does the tractor have live hydraulics? If so the seal on the pump is bad. There is no seal in the distributor.

I do believe there is a seal in the non hydraulic drive unit too.

(quoted from post at 13:25:45 10/30/18) Thanks much, just what I have been looking for. Ellis
You're welcome.
Ellis, here is the breakdown for the distributor drive, looks like it might have a seal also. I don't know if this any use to you.

Picture, 23 is the Seal ring holder and 24 is the o ring. After distributor shaft is removed 24 can be replaced without removing 23 unless it's damaged or the distributor shaft bushing needs replaced. To remove the distributor shaft remove 1,2,3,5,4, arm half of number 8,9,10,11,12. 20 is removed when 12 is removed. Remove 25 and 13 through 18 can be removed as a assembly but several parts of it will need inspection. Bushing is inside the housing in the grease plug area. It goes almost the full length of the distributor shaft part that goes through the housing. Number 9 is seal in a seal type ignition drive picture. One without seal is the other picture.

For some reason the picture of ignition drive without the seal wouldn't go through. Looks the same as other picture but 9 is not there.
