Farmall 230 part 2

I have this style hitch on my tractor and the literature I have shows nothing on this style. I know is a 2 point fast hitch, it's just know its not the traction control with the handle down behind you on the left. I also have this bar on the right side that goes down to the hitch. Can anyone explain this for me?

One might be Best for a disk and the other for a moldboard plow. So there is no correct answer. TThe fast hitch is the smaller prong type. all implements and the drawbar that fit the tractor need to be the smaller (vertical) dimension). tools from 300 series on up will not attach. Jim

Same as the hitch on my Super C, think bar on the right is called draft control and hooks to the Touch control arm, flat bar on left side tips hitch side to side. If you want down pressure on your hitch you need a pin in the bar behind tool box.

someone added a fast hitch from a super c or a 200 to your 230.
the 230 fh didn't use the tool box as part of the hitch. the rod
on the right side extends out and hooks to the odd positioned
holes on the touch control (one that has the hairpin showing in
gab's pictures). that rod controls the depth when you are
plowing, and in my opinion, is far superior to the traction
control system you mentioned. I have plowed with both.

Looks like I'm missing the leveling link or the bar on the left hand side. Guess I need to locate one. Thank you everyone for your help. It's going to be a little chore tractor, clean up turn rows and cut drainage ditch around the farm. Maybe pull a trailer or two around and take to tractor pull. I was going to turn it into a 4 row cultivating tractor, but plan on taking on more acers and need something bigger. I can see the advantage you guys talked about with this hitch. Thanks again.

Might be wrong but for some reason I think you could see either hitch on a 230 and by the looks of your tractor it doesn't look like it's been farmerized a bit.
