W4 won't restart

Magneto new points new plugs! after it cranks it will not restart. is this carb or valves or what? Carb leaks when cranking. Spins a lot but will not fire. Is it flooded or what? Thanks, dozinhal

If it ran before changing the points then you probably have the rotor off 180 degrees. Bring the number 1 piston to top dead center on the compression stroke and see where your rotor points.

It cranks and runs, but will not restart after you shut it off until tomorrow, maybe

Carb dripping during/after cranking means its getting too much fuel.

Carburetor can drip due to overchoking, or a leaking needle and seat. A warm engine should not need to be choked to restart.

Using choke properly is an art form, not a science. Every engine is a little different. Some you can set the choke and forget it, some need no choke at all, and most need somewhere in between.
