Farmall 230

I have this Farmall 230 I recently bought and I plan on splitting this tractor this winter to fix one problem but plan to go completely through her and replace the cut off axles. I want to put every option I can on her and I noticed I don't have a hydraulic temp sensor. I ordered one, but cant seem to locate where to install the sensor. I know the guage is suppose to mount up by the steering column. I bought an original 230 brochure that only shows a tach as an option above the steering column. Can anyone help me out?
I'm attaching pictures and have a second question I'll start on another post about my hitch. Thanks in advance.

temp control hooks to the filter on the left side of tractor on hydralic block...yours is not tapped yet ,your filter cover is solid from what i can see...most you see have been cut and just have the nut an probe in middle of cover...you should buy a owners manual ,they are really helpful to get to know all the little things about your tractor...nice tractor...thats the last one made of that body style after the 230 they go square grill...230 is the last of the round nose, letter style bodys.........dewy

Owners manual is on order and so is the
tech manual for when I separate her. Thank
you for the help, its appreciated. I need
to replace that filter anyways. When I got
her, she had good paint, but had more water
than oil in every part of her except the
dry radiator. I flush it all with kerosene
but the filter on the hydraulics was
looking beat up. I'll order a new one and
then tap it.

It's not really a filter, it's a fine mesh screen. Mine had a hole in it and I think it cost close to 40 bucks 25 years ago.
