Up right distributor--price ??

Have upright Delco distributor, came off model A. Hood did not fit so I used the horizontal one. Going to put ad on CL but need some idea of price to ask. Was it a factory production item or aftermarket part?

What do you mean the hood fits on a B just fine with the Delco DIST and no they were not factory

Original would have been an H4 magneto.

I've bought a couple of them. Check Ebay to see what they are selling for, but $75 sounds about right.

No hood when I bought the A, owner said it was gone when he got it. I got a hood labeled BN, tried it and it just hit the dist cap. Might have been able to force it on. Had the horiz dist came with replacement block so just used that. Runs fine. Thus the leftover dist to get gone..

It is a 42 year model. No switch in the electric box, just amp meter. All I need is spark so it runs and gets the grass mowed. I got all the guts of the orig engine to get rid of too. Block was busted beyond all hope of fixing. Looks like very low hour unit, that needs to find a home. Hate to scrap it.

That was because someone had removed it and got it out of time so they rotated the dist thus the hood would not fit they didn't know what they were doing tons of the I-H tractors have that dist and the hoods fit just fine those dists were an aftermarket purchase

I figured it was located one or two tooth off so it just got in the way. It is on C-List now, along with the rest of the leftovers.
