mechanical rotary injection pump

I have a 656 diesel, & have been reading about anti-gel suggestions on this forum's archives section. A concern was mentioned about making sure that the MECHANICAL ROTARY INJECTION PUMP gets proper lubricant (as you choose how to treat your cold weather diesel fuel). My
question is; does my '69 656 diesel engine have a mechanical rotary injection pump? Thanks for your help.

After more reading, I see that there are two styles of injection pumps: the rotary distributor injection pump (which has the lubrication issue) & the inline injection pump (which does not have the lub issue. Obviously I am new at this, so again, I thank you for your concern & help.

Yes, you have a rotary pump that's fuel cooled and lubed. Adding a quart of two cycle oil to every tankful would be a good idea. That's what I do on my 560.
