F20 Spark controll lever

I am trying to remove the spark controll lever and rod from the steering column on a 36? F20. Any insight on how that dissembles? I removed the small dowel pin on the rear side but still can?t get anything to budge. It feels like there is an internal spring inside that I?m fighting. Thanks for any input.

Go to the other end!
Remove the cotter pin and spring. On a 36 F-20, the spark control and throttle lever are inside one-another. Removing the cotter pin and spring will allow them to slide apart.
If the levers are still attached to the shafts, remove them by reversing the screws and sliding a dime in the slot. Do not put too much pressure on this old cast iron - just enough to loosen the levers.
It may be necessary to disconnect the steering wheel shaft and pull it back to give you some room to maneuver the spark/throttle shaft.

My spark control and throttle are two separate levers I ran the sn on this one again and I guess it is a 35? (32525). This lever has a cast handle with a cast stop facing the driver. The cast stop rotates between two pins to limit travel of the lever.

Ok I think I see what you mean F Dean. I replied to your reply without really thinking about it. I see now that my second lever is broke off and the rod from the lever rod to the mag is gone. I have this tractor completely dissembled to paint for another guy. I am not very familiar with these old farmalls. Our town has F20 sitting at the edge of town with a welcome sign. I will go look at it?s setup tomorrow.

If you have it disassembled. Loosen the steering column and disconnect the steering shaft. Place this "piece" on the ground with the steering wheel flat on the ground and pour liquid wrench or PB Blaster down the rod and shaft (They should be sticking straight up). This should loosen them.
