Farmall H Front End

I am looking at a 1949 Farmall H with a wide front end. Seller says the wide front is factory. Did the factory make a wide front for a 1949 H?

Yes. The OEM 'old style' has the tie rods out front.It could be mounted back under,or way out front.However,you could order any front you want(single,narrow,wide),or they could be easily changed/changedback at anytime by the farmer ,depending on the job it needed to do.There are several aftermarkets out there that are considered 'correct'.Post some pics so we can tell you what you have.
