what is the best way to pull the front pulley off the crankshaft -- I dont want to break it! its a super m in case you didnt notice !thanks for now --Roy

I take it you have already tried with a puller just didn't want to tighten down to hard. Soak in pb blaster or some type break free. You can heat it up with a rosebud or regular torch. If you getting in the engine then it doesn't matter how hot, but if you don't plan to replace the front seal I wouldn't get it to hot. The heat should break free any rust that's got it bound. Put your puller on it and tap on it with some tension.

Thanks DGOODMAN2 --I put a little more pressure on a different puller and was about to quit when there was a pop and off she come -- some times I wish I had one of those things that clamp on the pulley and the puller would hook to it . but I got by without it again -- You all know how that is! I had to pull the front cover to discover that the nut came off the cam gear-might have to change the cam as well -- live pump is hard on those single keyways -- might put a 450 cam in it-- 2-keys thanks again --Roy from northwest Iowa
