Ball Bearing Sources

Greetings!

I am looking at replacing the bearings in my transmission and rear axles on my Farmall Super H. Do any of you know of a good place to buy these bearings? I have tried most of the "major" suppliers with very little success.

My thanks in advance.

Mike at steel wheels ranch. Or take the number off of each bearing. take those numbers to NAPA for a match, they can order. They are probably just 'common' CR,Timken,or other vendor bearing.

well with SOME of thue bearings used they were a I H only deal and the best place to find them was the friendly Case I H stores IF they have warm LIVE body's behind the counter that know what they are doing . and no you are NOT going to find bargin basement bearings . when i put new axle bearings in my Super H it was NOT CHEAP , one needed to take there NITRO tablets a bottle of oxygen and a inhaler and a fat check book . Also at times you will pay less at the dealer then going to a bearing house . There are a lot of bearings used that will not cross over and are a deal;er only item.

Motion Industries, Kaman bearing, Interstate Bearing are a few sources, but as The Vet indicates, IH may be the only place for some. Jim

Pat number> Ebay and look for NOS bearing preferrredly made in USA or Japan. In my case I went with Fafner NOS. forr my A's steering needs.

about 8 or 10 years ago Motion Ind got me all 4 axle bearings for my H for less than IH wanted for 1. I don't know if the fact that I worked at a company that was a big account for this sales man from Motion had anything to do with it or not

How did you approach your bearing suppliers when shopping for these bearings? Bearing suppliers want numbers off the bearings themselves, not manufacturer part numbers or, "I need the axle bearings for a Farmall Super H."

I laid the old bearings in the mans hand next afternoon he laid them back in my hand then handed me the new ones
