Wondering if anyone knows if I am able to convert my 1937 wide rear end F-20 to a narrow tread? I found a 1939 narrow tread rear end. will i be able to swap for a narrow tread?
Thanks

It will definitely fit, only trouble you will have is some of those bolts.
And the correct police will tell you it doesn't have an N in the serial
number on the frame, just smile at em as you are loading and unloading it
off and on your bumper hitch trailer.

pretty simple just have to pull the countershafts ( the axle shafts that turn the brake drums ) and the brake actuating shafts then remove the bolts that hold the
countershaft housing to the transmission and swap the narrow housing and shafts. You don't have to disturb the differential, or if you have the trans and all you can just
unbolt the frame rails and mate the front half to your narrow rear. Not a hard job if you have a good way to move that heavy rear end around.
