Farmall 450 Hydraulic pump

I needed to replace the radiator on my F-450 and went further cleaning, painting and replacing fluids and gaskets. In the process, I pulled the hydraulic pump. I believe it is an M&W pump installed by a prior owner. As seen in the photo, the lines were run to the top side of the pump.

I don’t believe it is a problem, but thought I’d ask here - can the pump be rotated 180° so the lines are at the bottom? I need to replace the flexible lines and wanted to follow the path original to the tractor.

It looks to me like you are posting from a phone due to the way your apostrophes are changed to
sort of a code or at least when I veiw it on Classic on my phone. Known problem with this sites
software. I post from an iPhone and to get a photo taken with my phone to post here I have to
resize it. I do that by emailing it to myself. Prior to sending the email with the attached photo it
asks you what size you want it then I choose small. When the photo comes back to you save that
photo and choose it to attach to your post. Good luck. Maybe someone else can give you an
answer without seeing the photo.

Thanks for the heads up. Attached is the photo.

This tractor ran great when I first received it (http://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/viewtopic.php?t=1366518&highlight=450). I have not turned it over since starting the clean up and did not want to have a timing issue.

ok - I'll try again

Flange won't bolt up if whole pump turned 180. Had the mounting flange of the pumps in past but never noticed or can't remember if it can be turned 180 and bolt back to pump. May run into block clearance issues even if it will.

Also, those plumbing unions are kinda janky. I'm fine with using elbows and such, but when a swivel connection is needed, I personally prefer using an actual hydraulic swivel. Hopefully you have the same end goal in mind.

Thanks for the replies.

D Slater - I had not thought of the bolt pattern on the pump. I will check it out today.

Barnyard - one hose cracked already so I planned to have new ones made with correct fittings.
