What oil should I use in my F20?

Most any oil made today is far better then what was made when I was made. My self I run 20W-50 O'Reilly's brand oil in most of my tractors

If the engine has been apart and rebuilt I use 30 weight detergent oil and if not use 30 weight non detergent oil. In place of 30 weight
detergent you could use 10w30 or 15w40 oil. Don't forget to get an oil squirt can for oiling overhead oiler of vales. Which you can use what
you use in engine or like I do mix 75% engine oil with 25% marvel mystery oil.

To oil valves there are caps with spring loaded covers( first picture). In the second picture the tall things on top of cover are the
priming cups.

When you put oil through oil cups it goes into a tray on top of valves and has a felt that lets oil slowly pass to the valve train.

I like to stick with straight 30 weight with splash lubed engines, detergent unless the engine is full of crud and you are going to leave it that way. If you want to use a lighter
multi viscosity oil to lube the valves I don't think that would be a problem.
