I think this is a 47. Has serial#108492 it's rough but solid. Needs a rear wheel and has 11-24 tires so I guess I'll be looking
at at least an 8" rim. I will measure next time to be sure. Looks like a homeowner battery box is on it and I can't find any
pictures that would show where a battery box is. Owner has passed and kids know nothing. Wondering what it might be worth. Any
insight from the cub guys will be much appreciated.

XRCR :

Based on grill and fact you have hydraulics , this is much later tractor , probably a 1958-62 or so.

Battery goes in box under seat. Google tractordata.com . They have pictures.

$1000 or less would be a starting point. That's a crazy big battery box. Our Cub's battery just sits under the seat. Box was all rusted out.

If you are going to mow any tall grass, that is the mower I would prefer. It will handle the Woods 59" but the grass has to be cut regularly.

I made a new battery box this year, it sits under the seat, sort of under my left leg as far back as it can go.

That is probably also a modification to shorten the cable which goes to the starter, its quite long in the normal spot as it routes under the "floor pan".

Going by the serial number list under research and info on this site it is a 1950. Battery box should be under the seat by the way. If it runs $1000 is a ball park number for it

The grill style is of the year range you list but the serial number pegs it as a 1950 so the sheetmetal must have gotten swapped at some point. The optional hydraulic system was available right from the start of production.

It has the correct hood for a 1950, but the grille is a 1959-1963 style. Most likely the original grille got damaged during the 1959-1963 time period, and was replaced with the current grille.

Original style aftermarket mesh grilles can be found online. Not cheap, but available.

I agree on price $1000 to maybe $1200 if it looks really nice up close.

Thanks for all replies. I believe it is a 50 as well once I realized it is a 6 digit not 5 number(Math is Hard....) I have heard that it has to be a Cub rim just need to verify size. I'll look at Battery box location 'cause the existing set up just won't work for me. I at least have an idea of what it could go for so we'll see. Thanks again
