Distillate Head Compatabilty

I have a distillate head IH part Number 351649R1 for a C-113 engine and just got it back from the shop from being rebuilt. It was a spare and not sure what tractor it came off of. I would like to put it on a Farmall 140 tractor with a C-123 engine and didn't know if it will work with that engine.

Are heads from a C-113 engine specific to that engine??

Are the distillate heads compatible to be used with regular gasoline versions of either engine?

I'd be interested in the difference between the 2 heads. Maybe after a trip to the shop your distillate head is now a gasoline head. LOL

It will work just fine. The distillate engines had [pistons with a recess on top of them. The engines i had
apart could not tell any diff in the heads pistons are different.

Ok. I just knew the part Number for a distillate head casting is different than the regular gas heads.

Will the c-113 (super A and C ) heads work on a c-123 engine (Farmall 140 and super c ) ??
