H 3 Point Hitch

Can anybody identify this 3 point hitch? I bought it from a guy that had it installed on an M. Cleaned it up and it works very nicely.

Could be a Saginaw. those sway chains are not nearly heavy enough if you use it for much heavy work like snow plowing or field plowing.

Its not a saginaw because of the turnbuckles.

I think the guy fabricated his own from Acme nuts and a piece of DOM steel tubing. Weld around and metal-finish. Reason I say this is they do not run true.

Iow, the entire "threaded center section" is basically the same diameter instead of having the tapered end sections as I see in the pic, like a tube has been swaged down (or turned down).

In addition the "pin handle" does not slide thru the threaded tube on a saginaw, 2 stubs are welded to the OD.

Why I know something of this: I stole the turnbuckles from my "M" Saginaw hitch and put them on my 460U which had trashed turnbuckles (the internal threads were completely stripped out). So I have been squirrelling away information as eventually I'm going to have to fabricate a set of my own to get both tractors running.

The turnbuckles are just Tractor Supply replacements and the only ones they had the day I was there. In the first picture you can see the turnbuckles that were on it when purchased. The cylinders overpowered the TS turnbuckles and bent them when first installed, so they are on my list to be replaced.

Mowing and raking my road are primary uses for the tractor.

Thanks for all of the comments.
