Security camera advice

I just put up a new Machine Shed with 16 ft. high walls, two large machine doors and only one man door. No windows.
What would anyone recommend for a security camera? I sure don?t want to crawl up a long ladder each time to check.
Thanks

I have camera's on my shop. There are dozens to choose from so you have to decide how you want your set-up. Mine records constantly on a disc and save's a month worth of video. I have a TV in the shop that also serves as the monitor. It's not a fancy set up as I don't have all the bells and whistles but I only paid $300 for four cameras. It has an automatic night vision setting that kicks in. I can safely say that I don't think there's any way a vehicle can approach the shop without being caught on camera. I've already had some suspicious activity (vehicles driving up and then leaving) that I think when they saw the cameras they left. With all the meth heads around these days, theft is a huge problem. The can't/don't/won't work so they've got to steal. Some may even be relatives which is my case.

I should add that I live over 100 miles from my farm/shed so a live feed would be out of the question.
Just a still camera that I could download if there ever was a problem I guess is what I?m asking?.

There are system like what ADT has that will send you a notice if and when something triggers the camera. Some even let you talk to the person so you can tell them to get out of there and they are being reported etc.

There are systems that upload to the cloud. You can view what is going on in real time from any smart phone or computer.

You don't say if you have power. I have an issue where some buildings are one miles away from my home. I have power. I have put up some fake cameras. Two trail cameras. I also wired up a strobe light and a horn, so when some one gets in front of my motion sensor the horn blows for 5 seconds and the light strobes for 20 minutes. The strobe is a big one like you would see on the top of a state police car. I can see the light from my house and if I'm outside I can hear the horn. The horn will make you pee your pants if your in front of it when it blows. I also had a 4 mile Dakota drive way alarm which sent a signal to my home, but the wife got tired of listing to it go off all the time since some one in the neighbor hood had one too and it made mine go off, so its sitting but, it does sound off at the barn with a verbal command. The best part about the Dakota was when I first got it I caught several people there and I think word got around. I also think my strobe light and horn have been a good help since when you drive in the driveway they know with out any doubt that some one has been alerted.

I use an arlo pro for monitoring. You can check the recordings on your phone, since it has a mobile app. The night vision is good too, and has 2way audio. You can check it further if you want. I just find its batteries draining quicker than the usual, I just hope arlo gets improved soon.

It really depends on what you have available for power and internet connectivity at this location. There is a lot of smart home stuff like door, motion, and window sensors. But all require internet to monitor remotely and can possibly piggy back off of an existing smart home setup if you have any of that stuff your main house. But if you don't have power or internet then trail cameras are your least expensive option.

Night Owl makes a lot of different options you might consider. If you have wifi, you can even get alerts to a smart phone.

In my area there have been theft and vandalism
Some had cameras but it done no good to have s picture
Of a guy no one knows
I would not spend the money
The local fertilizer company has had pictures and videos
But what good does it do to have s picture if the tied is from another state or county
You still don’t know who he is
Just saying
