Farmall H Carb Leak

Hi all, looking for help with my ?45 H. I cannot get the packing to seal the fuel adjustment screw on the carb. I?ve tried all kinds of different material, including the correct packing in the carb kit, with no luck. Carb appears to be in good shape and it runs great, just drips gas. Any suggestions?

Tighten the packing nut a little more.

I?ve tightened the nut as far as I can, still no luck.

Did you get ALL of the old packing out?

Yep, it?s clean inside. Just doesn?t seem to want to seal. I?ve
tried it several times, tried faucet string and a neoprene gasket
as well with no luck. Carb doesn?t appear cracked and the
needle/nut are in good shape.

When the packing nut is tight enough, it is very difficult to turn the adjustment screw. If the screw is easy to adjust, the nut is not tight enough.

Just relating my own experiences. Maybe you already knew that.
