Thank you for letting my join. I have a 1949 Farmall M, 1963 Super A, 1950 Cub, 1961 Cub and 1963 Ford 8N. Am about to remove the lift pump from the M. After reviewing the messages and pictures on Dec 09, 2010 Forum, when i bring the pump down, how are the lines inside disconnected? If i bring the pump down, do i reach in and disconnect or what? The pictures and words are awesome but i just need that extra info so i know what to expect. Thanks, Big Chief

If you could get some 1/2 in plugs, that are turned in with a Allen wrench, you can turn them in from the out side and keep the dirt, etc, out would be nice, the plugs you turn in with a wrench wont let you lower the pump, they will catch!

Threaded rods in opposite corners work well for re-installing the pump. (Copied from someone else on this site many years ago)

Thank you Fdean. I will be working by myself and like the threaded rod idea, could i use that as a way of removal? I see it to be time consuming because of 4 rods, moving back and forth to keep the weight even. Big Chief

I used a floor jack to lower mine but I screwed in short lengths of all thread rod into the bolt hole to guide the pump down.
