call wire gauge

What gauge is the coil wire on the old Farmalls. The one on my 100 is bad but its the old style coil with the terminals on the back and it takes a longer wire than the new style coils - those you can still
buy. I'm going to have to make one. I'm thinking 14 gauge?

This is supposed to say coil wire. My typing skills leave a lot to be desired.

14 gauge will work just fine. 16 gauge will also work. The ignition circuit is a low amp circuit so it does not take a big wire. But my self I use 12 gauge not because it is needed amp wise but I use it because of what and where tractor get into
