IH 185 planter units ??

Hi all, I looking to buy a IH planter unit want to fab a Cat o 3pt hitch and use it with my Power King tractor, a fellow has a 2 unit planter for sale not far from and I'm going to look at it I know these planters are old and worn so what should I check for?

MN GB I used two John Deere planter units many years ago to replants some missing row's, but don't remember much about them, the main thing i remember you have to keep the speed down,like any other plate planter.

Got a 185 with the cat 1/0 pins and a adjustable top link and
bunch of plates that I was thinking of selling. Switched to a
Brinly planter with fertilizer option. If interested will send

Hi Ed, I bought a 184 2 row unit and removed one of the units and fabricated a Cat O hitch for use with my Power King, got the hitch pretty much done and tested will make a couple of small chabges and paint it the it will be ready GB in MN
