guys few questions: have the differential rebuilt and installed along with both sides on the drive line minus axles as working on some other things.
this tractor had the lower aux fuel tank and I am not putting it back on, what's a good way to plug the line for the top tank going to the bottom tank? anything else I need to do to the top tank? is there a sending unit or do I need to get that. the lower tank if some one needs I will get rid of cheap.
I still need to get a 5401000 pto unit to replace the 1000 one that was on, witch coupler do you modify on the shaft inside the tractor? there is a place about a hours drive that has some pto units rebuilt. I bought a new hyd pump and have it installed and going to send the one that came out to be redone as that will fit some of my other tractors. one other question what is the right color black for the under fender and behind the fuel tank, some stuff I will paint while its apart but the rest of the tractor I will paint later when I have all the bugs out. I will be using automotive paint with hardener. thanks for the help.

What are you planning on using it for? If heavy tillage, it's nice to have that bottom tank on there unless you will be next to a fuel tank most times. If you leave the inner wheels out a but you can pull the tank without taking the inner centers/wheels off

For the tank. If you are going to put it back on, why not put a ball valve in the line between the 2 tanks. Then if you needed it, or wanted you could just open it. The sending unit would be in the tank I believe already if not a generic one will work just have to adjust the length of the lever rod. Might even have to play with it to clear the sides or baffles in the tank. I got one to work in the 06/56 tank.

2 different senders for top tank the one for single tank is what you need, it is in 86 series parts book. Steve
