I was hoping someone might know the approximate value of a Farmall 140 - I am not sure of the year, but it is probably late 1960s/early 70s and is in pretty good condition. Also, I do not know any of the specifics on the tractor. We aren't selling it, but we need to have a rough idea of fair market value. Thanks in advance for any opinions.

A 140 in good condition should bring $2500 - $3000.

Here in East Tenn, anywhere from $2000 to $4000 depending on the condition and the attachements you have to go with it. One in good condition with cultivators will go usually go for at least $3000.

Allis Chalmers ED40 - by Anthony West. Allis Chalmers as a tractor manufacturer in its own riht is but a memory. However the number of AC tractors still in existence today as either restored or unrestored examples is a testament to the quality of their products. This in itself is always apparent here in the U.K when attempting a purchase, as no matter what the model or condition the price will always be strong.
