Have a oil leak behind frt.lower countershaft cap.Can the square seal ring be installed without splittin tractor? Not much room through the clutch inspection plate. Thanks

Yes you can you got to drain the oil in the front housing because the oil will keep coming out used two 3/8 dowel bolts in the top holes when you take those out the bolts when you take those out to the dowel bolts Will hold the shims in place there is two different square O-rings replace the old ring and when you slide the cap back on the dowel bolts and you some sealer on bolts threads

Yea ya can , BUT you may have more problems then ya want here . Now i am not saying for sure BUT the big nut that holds everything together on the lower shaft may be coming off and allowing the shaft to move forward . If this is the case then a split at the range transmission will be required .
