F12 rod caps

What should the bolts be torqued to.I have them at 40 foot pounds now and I am about to put the pan back on.I looked in the shop manuals and they only told me clearances not torque specs.Please help me.Thanks

That's about right. With the cotter pins through them, you don't need to worry about tightness for the sake of staying secure, only for tension on the bearings.

I tightened them with a normal socket wrench, then measured one with a torque wrench. It was 50lbs. Then, I tightened a little more until the cotter pin hole lined up. Probably resulted in 60lbs or so, but I didn't measure.
