F-12 FUEL TANK

Hi:
I am going to be restoring my dad's 1935 Farmall F-12 beginning this week. The fuel tank apparently has pin holes & rust. I figure on replacing it but it
is the fuel tank with the auxillary small gasoline starting tank (I think part # 20732 DEX). Does anyone know if a similar tank from an F-20 is the same?
Does anyone have a replacement tank available for sale , also fuel lines & shut offs so I won't have to make them? Will be needing numerous other parts eventually
as this machine has been locked up for 50 years ( I already have a replacement engine). Thanks.

I have a f12 fuel tank in good condition as far as i know. It is for a gas model (no starting tank) Contact Alderson Tractor in Iowa 641 624 2275. More than likely they will have one that matches yours . and it will already be cleaned and tested for leaks.

I don't know that they are not the same as f-20, but I would really doubt it. I know f-20 and f-30 is not. F-30 is larger than f-20.
F-12 is a common tractor. Should have no problem finding tanks and related parts in salvage yards.

A F-20 tank will fit on a F-12 but a F-12 tank will not fit on a F-20 because the fill hole on the main tank is closer to the center of the tank - too close on a F-20.
Yes, I learned this the hard way!

F20 tanks will not work on a 12 unless you add in a return fitting to the front. The F12 has a fuel pump and requires a reflow tee( gas models or fuel line vent (kerosene Models, sticks up through the hood) to return excess fuel back to the tank .
