Hello all! I know it has been a little while since I have posted in the forum. Not much is going on around the 'shop', really. I did get a call Wednesday from the machine shop. The (2nd) '47 M head was done - so I flew on out to grab it thinking I might be able to take advantage of the 0 degree day. As luck would have it, other things got int the way.. So, in the shop it sits. Not sure when I will get around to getting it on (wanted to do it before spring to try out that loader), but unless it gets fairly warm, I don't know if it will happen. I managed to get a coat of primer on it, and have yet to get all of the studs and fittings transferred over, but that is about it.

The '42 H is still pretty much at a standstill as well. I sent the mag off to a local guy - only because his rate of a $45 shop fee is $6 more than buying the tool to pull the impulse coupler.. You guys know I try to do everything myself, but sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet.. And for $6, I figured what the heck. I've yet to get a manifold for it, and still have to order a premium carb kit.. Other than that I am thinking it should run pretty easily. I'll probably pull the alternator off of it and install it on the M as well. The H may be just another hand-crank tractor since I was told it has a bad starter.

All is well here in the north land, and I want to wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas... May your stockings be filled with lots of shiny new parts!
