looking at newer tractors wanting one that is 100 hp like a caseih CX100, my tractors range from, ih 986,1466,584, case 1570,2470 and my dads mf135 and 65. looking more for square baling and pulling wagons in the fall as well as putting a loader on later for moving round bales. I like the looks of the cx100 and the ones I am looking at front assisted, also started looking at the 5140's and 5240'S you guys seem to be well grounded what would be your pick? also wanting something with a nice cab with ac and heat. thanks guys.

I would recommend staying away from the 51xx and 52xx series Maxxum tractors. Fiat has already started discontinuing parts for them. I had a 5230 back in the day and it had a lot of electrical gremlins.

Be aware that the 100HP rating for a CX100 is ENGINE horsepower, not drawbar (74HP) or PTO (83HP), so if you're looking for a 100HP tractor in the traditional sense, this ain't it. It's a utility tractor with a big engine.
If you want something comparable to a 5140 or 5240 Maxxum, you need to look at an MX120.
