I'm in need of a F-12 carb for my project and found what appears to be a good one on e-bay.
Price was inline with what I wanted to give, so what the heck, I put in a bid for it. Has anyone had a bad expereince with parts purchased on e-bay?

I would discourage any bidding on items that I may be the high bidder on. Just kidding, I have had great luck on E-bay so far. Just got a gas tank this week that was better than the boy listed it as.Good luck Jimbo

I've had nothing but good luck. As mentioned above check pictures and look at the sellers feedback rating. You also need to take into account the shipping costs. HTH Pat

Go for it. I buy and sell there all the time. Make sure to read the feadback on the seller. Also read how proxy bidding works. Good luck.

We bought a grill for an H on E-bay and it was a very good deal. But be carefull that you know what you are looking at. This grill was advertised as a M, but they gave the dementions and we knew it was for an H. Fit perfect and looks good all painted up.

I have bought and sold all sorts of antique tractor and car parts on ebay, and have had no serious trouble. I once bought a motorcycle wheel which was advertised as 16" and turned out to be 19", but the seller took it back and refunded my money and the shipping. Honest mistakes happen, but have not heard of too much fraud. It pays to read the description very carefully, and look at the pictures very carefully, and ask any questions before bidding. I personally do not bid on items not pictured.

I've purchased a few items on E-bay. No problems so far. Mostly, I've purchased manuals.

Most of the time it has worked well. Was successful bidder on item today. Seller is trying to shaft me on shipping and ins. chgs. Did not list chgs. in $ amount in his listing, just "actual charges" I sent him to the USPS Web site. "Trust everybody but always cut the cards".
