High boy machine

Happy Labor Day all you hard workers! I am asking for some help with a machine that my Dad had on his farm. I'm trying to find information about a spraying applicator machine called a high boy, bought new in 1964, built by a company, I think, called Ballentine. I definitely remember it had a Continental Red Seal engine of about 30 horsepower. Any information on these machines would be welcome, as I spent a lot of time as a teenager driving them in my Dad's cotton fields putting out chemicals. Thanks, Hugh

Hugh,

I believe that was probably Barrentine of Inverness, MS. They also built a highboy that raised a tractor about 5 to 7 ft off the ground using 8N Fords and C Farmalls. The company is still in business or was a few years ago.

Thank you so much, rustcollector! That sounds exactly right. Now I have something to put into a search engine to find out some more history. Hugh
