O14 weak fuel pump

The fuel pump on my O14 pushes fuel but not enough to keep the engine going.didn't find any holes in the diaphragm. Any hints on where to look for problem? Thanks in advance Chuck K.

I have seen some pumps that need the push rod built up 1/16-1/8"
Any play in these pumps will lead to poor proformance. oldiron29

Might look at the check valves, one or both might be leaking.

Chuck,Ive extended the pump rod by building it up with weld than Ive used sever gaskets behind the pump as shims and adjusted the shims incase the pump pumps to much
