Any ideas where I might find the 1/4 turn fasteners used to hold the sheet metal hood onto my 1939 Farmall A? They have a large hex head with a slot. They grab onto an S shaped wire riveted to the back of the mating piece. A 1/4 turn and they draw the two pieces together. I have tried McMaster Carr Supply without success.
I would like orginals if available.
Thanks.

Carl,

If Pilot Knob Restoration does not have them, go to your local airport and find a aircraft mechanic that has an aircraft hardware catalog and you will probably find them in there. I used to have a old catalog about twenty or so years ago but it disappearded years ago. They are Deutz (may be spelled wrong) Fastners.
