IM LOOKING TO PUT A LOADER ON A 460UTILITY DOES ANYBODY HAVE ONE FOR SALE OR WHAT MAKES OR MODELS WILL FIT IM WORRIED ABOUT FIT BECAUSE THE STEERING LINKAGES RUN ON BOTH SIDES OF THE TRACTOR ANY HELPWOULD BE APPREACIATED IM LOCATED IN NE PA BUT FOR THE RIGHT PRICE CAN TRAVEL

This is my opinion, If you have a 460 utility that has a good front end and steering sector I would be hesitant to put a loader on it. IH utilities,300's 330's'350's and especially 460's have a very high failure rate on front ends and steering components, if you are lucky enough to find repair parts you pay dearly for them. With the loader and load weight when backing up the normal caster in the front end is working against the steering sector and in time will win, I have a 330,350 and 460 utilities and searched for years finding them that were never loader tractors. I use an M for my loader tractor and the loader has not been off the tractor since I bought it in 84. As I said when I started this post, this is my opinion. The next 10 posts will say I'm crazy.

r4etired, NO, I"m among the crazyzzz as I also was thinkin" "bout a loader on my newly aquired, but not home yet, International 460. Appears I might gotta rethink it.

460 utility- poor loader tractor. you wont steer it with a bucket full.a 560 is a better set up.

sounds like a loader is out guess ill have a gas hog of a raking tractor got the tractor cause a guy traded it for hay i know im in the wrong color here how bout putting loder on mm302?? thanks for all the info

I guess we are crazy, we had a loader on one for many years. We abused the heck out of it loading a lot for ourselves and even did quit a bit for neighbors. We even moved more dirt than I would ever try again with any loader for a bin site. The main repairs were to tie rods and a valve job. The one problem we did have was moisture in the hyd oil. Many times we had to remove the filter to use in the winter. My opinion but we put a lot of hrs on one with a loader, it was on the second loader when we finally gave it up.

Here we are with a Wagner 260 or 265 loader.

Might not be the best animal out there but still working 50 years later and at less than 20% of the cost of the flashily-painted "new" stuff I see all over, it works great for me on my 3ac.
