Clutch adjustment on D6 9U

I have a 1956 D6 9U that has recently been having issues with the clutch disengaging and I'm not getting that snap-in feel. I have the service manual, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be adjusting. I think the manual I have is for the older dry clutch style. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out with some advice on this. Thanks.

remove inspection floorplate.
remove clutch adj cover
loosen adjusting clurch locknut on ring
turn 180 and do again on other side
turn adjusting ring @ 3" clockwise to tighten
torque locknut 30 ftlbs

get an operation and maintenance instruction booklet (form 12692-8)

likely you will need to adjust the clutch brake also.

Thanks for the advice. I did some wrenching on it this morning and opened it up. There is still some threads showing, so I assume there is a good bit of adjustment left, but that ring doesn't seem to be as easy to move as I expected. Before I shove a block of wood in there and start beating on things, I thought I'd ask how you turn the ring. Thanks again for the advice, it is really appreciated. This is my first piece of heavy machinery. It is a little different than working on a Farmall!

My D6 9U has a dry clutch. Similar--loosen a collar-place in gear and rotate clockwise to gain SNAP. I have not adusted an oil clutch.

I used a tanker bar to rotate my collar. Given that a tanker bar is used to check track and need to align big parts, its a given to use one for leverage.
