RE:1965 HD7G 4 cylinder turbo
Does anyone know what can be done with a non working turbo?
This one is stuck from sitting, (it did work briefly)
Can it be saved? Are they still rebuildable?
Hector Gemme, or anyone else; do you have a good used one?
Thanks
Brian

Brian,
They are rebuildable to a point. Check diesel shops, etc. Most have rebuilds on the shelf, and a good small shop often has rebuild kits for them. As long as the case and turbine isn't trashed, they aren't too hard to do.

Where are you located? I'd like to get a copy of your book on your tractor.

I will check next monday if am still have a HD7G turbo today and tomorrow we have big snow and ice and for your turbo you could use some penetrent stuff like w40 for 4 to 5days and try to move the impeller easly he could be reetulisable

I am located 5 minutes from Durham, Ontario, Canada.
I bought all my manuals on eBay. (all from the USA)
I have a parts manual, operators manual, a field service manual and a torque converter service manual.
I am not sure that my manuals will cover the HD7GB as they are newer and larger.
I met a guy near here who has a HD7GB and it is a lot bigger than my HD7G.

Bit of a ways. Ontario is about 5 or 6 hours for me here on the Ma & Pa border.

Try Miller Diesel in Harrisburg. 1-800-296-5931
