Massey 4 in 1 bucket

Does anyone know if a 4 in 1 bucket from an 86 Massey 50H will fit on a 1965 HD7G Allis Chalmers track loader?
It is available to me, but I don't want it if it is a lot of work to make it fit.
I would also like to be able to switch back to the 1 1/2 yard bucket already on the HD7G.
Thanks
Brian

It will not be a direct fit. A good
welder/fabricator could probably make it fit but it
would be a fair amount of work. They would need to
look at both and take some measurements. Crawler
buckets are usually built heavier than rubber tire
buckets. Not saying it couldn't be modified to fit
but you'd most likely need new bushings made to fit
the pins on your machine and have to move the
mounting plates on the bucket.

I gave the owner the measurements from the HD7G today, and you are right, it would take a fair amount of refit.
I think it would be worth it if I did not have so much on the go right now.
I was hoping for a small miracle I think!
Does anyone have a good Drott 4 in 1 for sale in Ontario?
Thanks

What do you want a 4 in 1 bucket for? I have one and
working around tree's and branches is a real PIA.
Too many hyd. lines to get snagged or bent from
errant branches. Do you have aux, hydraulics? You
might be better off just building or adapting a
grapple to fit on your existing bucket.

Don"t waste your time putting on a bucket from a backhoe, its way too weak and light, the HD7 would need a bucket from a Cat 955 or the like,is the valve and lines on the machine, search on Iron Planet or Machinery Trader, the proper bucket would be the best.

I have a lot of cleaning up of fence lines and I think the 4 in 1 would work better for moving soil to reshape what's left.
I want to keep the bucket for when I have to load dump trailers, trucks ETC.
Does anyone have a good one they want rid of.
Since I can't afford an excavator, so I'll try to dig my ponds with it too.

Brian,

Take the time to find one that fits the
size of the machine. Once you get used to it,
you will not go back to a standard bucket.
You can load a much taller truck with it by
dumping out the bottom, great for grubbing
small trees and saplings that just bend over
with standard bucket just clamp and lift.
Great for handling trash wood for fire, will
spread dirt and top soil nearly perfect out
of the bottom, basically about as handy as a
woman in bed.
