IH T340 dozer PTO linkage

HOPEFULLY the owner will accept my bid on a IH T340 dozer.

The linkage for the PTO is MIA and it's engaged. How do I disengage it? What does the linkage look like?

There are two kinds of PTOs on the T340, a planetary and a clutch operated one. The shaft that drives the PTO is always turning and enters the PTO unit that you see on the back of the machine. It's the controls on the PTO unit itself that disconnect its own clutch or planetary. The clutch might be a little sticky and make it look like the PTO is under power (which mine does), but will not really transmit any power. I just keep a cover over it (made out of an old pot). You can see all this in the parts manual or on the two PTO manuals, all of which are easy to find.
