Sheepsfoot question

How much HP does it take to pull a double drum sheepsfoot in heavy black dirt (race track prep)? Probably a 2wd farm or utility tractor.
Thanks in advance.

Oh man, that's like lobbing a bouncy-ball into a busload of retards! Come on guys I couldn't stand it any longer, I had to bite.

If it's sinking in the ground will take a lot more HP to pull it. I've seen sheepsfoot packers pulled by big 4 wheel drive tractors. Better to have more HP than not enough. Dave

If you're working on a flat track, a 60 HP tractor will handle it OK, in most soil conditions. If you are building a BMX track with some humps and bumps you may want to consider the possibility of the packer taking over on the downside of the hump when the track gets hardened up a bit. In that case the tractors weight will need to be enough to keep the tail from wagging the dog. Don't ask me how I know.
