Is It Possible? Fix a bull gear.

Done properly the gear should be just as good when repaired as it was when new. So, in answer to your question, yes, it can be repaired if the repair guys know what they are doing, if not then your just looking at more repairs later when their repair brakes and takes something else with it...
 
Steve,I have 4 bullgears for sale from the 2244s.
Maybe I can match one for you.
Other option is to get gear cutter to make a new one up.I'm sure they are cheaper to get made in your area,in comparison to here.

There are people who rebuild ears but it is more than just weld up a tooth an mahining it. they heat treat the whole gear. I have seen gear teeth welded back up and ground down by hand just to get the machine thru an auction.
I no longer have an address for the Company that I did business with. Maybe I can look back in soem old tax records and find it.
 
You need to give a shout out to George in MD, he does that sort of machining. Put his name inthe title, and get a hold of him.
