Case 580 Construction King TLB Dissassembly Tips

My 69 gasser 580 is ready for restoration after the engine gave up. I blocked up the 33 hoe and pulled it off as well as the bucket so I can load it on the trailer to pull it to the shop.
Wondering about the loader frame/hydraulics and rear hoe supports being removed to fully pull the engine and replace clutch etc.
Anyone have tips on cribbing it up or blocking it? Looks like it would unbolt okay but putting it back seems troublesome if i don't plan ahead. Hoping for some experienced insight or tips from you here. It has to really come apart to get after all the needed restoration this winter.

I had to do one a few years ago. A 1966 580CK, serial # 8336306. It sat in guy's field with #3 connecting rod hanging out the side of the block (188 diesel). I pulled the dipper and boom off the 33 hoe and also pulled off the front bucket. Winched it on to a trailer and got it home. Dragged in into my shop and pulled the entire engine out fine - with the front loader frame still on the tractor - along with the rear backhoe main frame also still on. The trouble spot I had was getting the hydraulic pump off. It was siezed on to the splined shaft that is only supposed to be a slip fit.

That's the way I did it. I stuck in a 207D engine. Had to use the original 188 oil pan and front engine cover to make it fit right.

On my 530 loader/hoe. I took it apart with loader and hoe still attached. Removed sheet metal, radiator, front axle & steering casting. Then the engine came out just like it would from pickup truck. Once the engine was out I could work on gear box seals etc. The radiator was recored, front axle rebushed, steering box resealed. I think it was easier than a split since I reconditioned all the stuff I removed. I did also take hoe apart to replace bushings and rebuild cylinders. The boom, dipper & swing tower were rebuilt, sand blasted & painted and installed after tractor & loader was painted. If it"s going to be a complete restoration I think starting with a split is harder.
Best to you, Dennis...
